Lab: Virtual Private Network (VPN) Configuration and Testing (4 of 11)

This document from the Center for Systems Security and Information Assurance (CSSIA) is part of a series of workshop documents that address the knowledge and skills needed for students to be prepared for the Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) exam. "A Qualified Security Assessor is a person who has been certified by the PCI Security Standards Council to audit merchants for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance." This document focuses on virtual private network (VPN) configuration and testing. Lab setup information and Zeek (Bro) logs are highlighted. For the Kibana software, key fields for confirming encrypted traffic, basic search strings, and auditing details are also provided with a to-do list.
