This 167-page curriculum was developed by Wayne Randall from North Georgia Technical College for the Livestock and Poultry Production and Management course. The curriculum includes a lesson plan for each lesson that is a part of four units. The lessons include the following:

  • Unit 2 Lesson 2: Binomial Nomenclature

  • Unit 2 Lesson 4: Management Practices Used in Animal Production
  • Unit 3 Lesson 1: Sexual and Reproductive Behavior of Agricultural Animals
  • Unit 3 Lesson 2: Reproductive Systems of the Male and Female
  • Unit 4 Lesson 1: Genetics in the Selection Process
  • Unit 4 Lesson 2: Livestock Selection

Each unit contains the following: lessons (including objectives; essential questions; unit understandings, themes, and concepts; primary learning goals; assessment method/type; references; materials and equipment; performance standards; and academic standards); teaching procedures (including lecture notes/activities), individual learning activities, group learning activities, presentation learning activities, and summaries.
