Program Description

ISO-TOPE is a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant-funded project at the Minnesota State Transportation Center of Excellence that aims to train operators and technicians in the use, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of autonomous technologies. The grant seeks to provide professional development, develop curriculum, conduct industry outreach, and acquire advanced technology for educational purposes.

Collection Description

This collection of documents from ISO-TOPE highlights the "Can I Borrow That?" loan program, which provides educators in higher education with equipment in advanced technology areas through a check in and check out process. Educators can check out freight liners, caterpillars, laser boxes, and more. The collection is composed of an equipment lease agreement, equipment check in/out form, and a flow chart document.

The 13-page equipment lease agreement was created by the Attorney's General Office of Minnesota for entities within Minnesota to be able to borrow equipment. The contract includes information on equipment, lessee responsibilities, the return of equipment, repair of equipment, and more. The document also includes an equipment check form to keep track of equipment condition.

The equipment check in/out form provides a QR code for a survey. The survey is identical to the equipment check form in the equipment lease agreement and allows users to fill out information on equipment, equipment condition, and more. The survey is attached as an associated file.

The flow chart document provides information on the steps for checking in and checking out equipment from ISO-TOPE.
