Exploring a Job in the Industry
This lesson, from the Center for Renewable Energy Advanced Technological Education Resource Center (CREATE), gives students the opportunity to look ahead and consider a future in the energy industry. During the lesson, students investigate a job within the energy industry of their choosing. Students then research and write about the chosen job.
A student lesson, an instructor guide, and two documents about science standards are included. The 4-page student lesson includes instructions for completing the activity, links to energy career maps, and writing prompts choices. The 4-page instructor guide includes activity and teacher notes. The science standard documents include what standards may be advanced by exploring a job in the energy industry.
