Materials Science Educational Handbook

This 1,298-page handbook from Edmonds Community College provides a toolkit for educators to introduce materials science concepts into their classes through a variety of instructional modules. These modules demonstrate core principles of materials science and engineering design through peer-reviewed, hands-on activities. These activities can be implemented in any STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) classroom and span introductory through advanced instructional levels. This handbook is separated into independent, subject-specific chapters, and National Science Standards are provided for each lesson.
