Unit Conversion (Part 2 of 2)

During this lesson, published by Columbia Gorge Community College, viewers will learn to express a given quantity using different systems of units. The lecture begins with an introduction to the concept of converting quantities to desired systems of units. A list of equivalencies for different quantities, including power, pressure, volume, time, angle, and length are given. The lecture then illustrates examples of unit conversion for various quantities. Examples include conversions between watts, horsepower, foot-pounds force per second, bars, kilopascals, psi, gallons, cubic inches, weeks, and more. Throughout the lecture, emphasis is put on the importance of proper engineering format and accurate representation of units to avoid errors.
