Introduction to Pneumatic Systems (Part 1 of 2)

This video, published by Columbia Gorge Community College, is the first part of a two part lecture that discusses pneumatic systems through comparison with hydraulic systems, including a particular focus on the differences between compressible and incompressible fluids. The first part of the lecture provides a brief review of hydraulic systems and Pascal's Law followed by a discussion of liquid and gases as fluids. Finally, double-acting cylinders are used as an example to compare pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
