This resource, provided by the National Convergence Technology Center (CTC), features two documents relating to the planning and execution of professional development events. The first document, titled How to Plan and Deliver Successful Professional Development Events, is a 32-page document that offers a best practice guide for the entire process of hosting a professional development event. CTC developed this guide through combining together into one place both internal staff process documents and formal conference presentations, sharing the National CTC's know-how in managing dozens of successful professional development events. This document contains the following sections: Overall Guiding Principles; Planning and Preparing; Hosting; Wrapping It All Up; Online Events. Each section contains a variety of subsections covering different aspects of their respective topics. The second document, How to Plan and Deliver Checklist, is a 5-page checklist mirroring the sections and subsections of the larger document.
