Loops and Decision Tools, Assignment 4.2 (Module 4 of 9)
This video assignment, provided by the GeoTech Center, is the second assignment from module four of the Python and Geospatial Mapping course, Loops and Decision Tools. The course is designed for experienced users of Global Information Systems (GIS) platforms who are new to programming, with the goal of teaching them how to use Python to automate processes through the construction of short scripts in ArcGIS Pro.
In this assignment, learners work with Nested For and While loops. They are tasked with creating their own variable containing 13 values for a For loop, which then prints the value of one element before activating the While loop. During the video, Vince DiNoto walks learners through the full steps of the assignment, which are also detailed in the Loops and Decision Tools module. This assignment, along with the module it originates from, focuses on Python and may be used outside of the GIS context.
The video runs 1:20 minutes in length. Additional resources from the Python and Geospatial Mapping course are available to view separately.
