Freezing Water Video

This resource, published by Erie Community College, consists of three videos that demonstrate the use of a Rough Vacuum Equipment Trainer (RVET) to freeze water at room temperature. In the first part, the presenter provides instruction on the correct setup of the RVET, including valve positions and gauges. Part 2 showcases the experiment, featuring a narration of the phases that the water undergoes until freezing as a result of the vacuum. The final part demonstrates the results from the experiment. These videos accompany topics discussed in the Introduction to Vacuum Technology E-book.
