Learning Activities 4.4: Gas Pressure and Amontons’ Gas Law

This 4-page learning activity is from the Introduction to Vacuum Technology Student and Instructor Laboratory Manuals that accompany the Introduction to Vacuum Technology E-Book published by Erie Community College. The activity has students measure pressure of a gas at different temperatures to validate Amonton's law. The activity includes a summary, learning objectives, a pre-lab assignment, theoretical background, a list of equipment and materials needed, and the activity procedure. Activity learning outcomes include:

1. Collect pressure and temperature measurement data. 
2. Verify Amonton's law.
3. Report calculated values with appropriate significant figures.
