Cybersecurity Skillset

This 7-page skillset provides a list of concepts that prospective cybersecurity employees should have an understanding of for success in the industry. This list was created as a part of the IT Skills Standards 2020 and Beyond (ITSS 2020) project. It was developed in collaboration of approximately 100 IT employer subject matter experts (SMEs) with the goal of assisting information technology programs in aligning curriculum with industry needs. This set of standards was developed over multiple meetings and subsequent follow up surveys, and was updated in 2021. The skillset consists of 69 concepts in total, and each concept has a rating indicating the importance of its inclusion in an IT curriculum.
