This video, presented by instructor Tony Hills from the Cybersecurity Education for Advanced Manufacturing Organizations project, is the last in a series of six videos that describe an industrial zoning lab. In this video, Hills demonstrates how network segmentation enhances security by isolating traffic between devices. Hills verifies connectivity between the hacker machine and the PLC in separate zones using ping and Telnet commands. Using Wireshark, Hills shows that communication is possible, but the hacking machine can no longer capture traffic between industrial devices like the PLC and HMI once it is isolated in the Manufacturing Zone. The video highlights how segmentation prevents unauthorized data interception, even when devices are still able to communicate across zones.

This video runs 07:04 minutes in length. Additional videos and the industrial zoning lab are available to view separately.
