Discovering Your Professional Skills: Student Handbook

This resource provided by SRI International includes the Discovering Your Professional Skills student handbook and a corresponding student rubric. The 16-page handbook introduces students to professional skills for self-development. The handbook can be used to demonstrate examples of professional skills in the workplace, practice professional skills, map out the development of professional skills, and more. Included in the handbook is a checklist of professional skills and a four step guide to self reflection and personal growth. The 1-page student rubric guides learners through the self-evaluation of professional skills in a group setting, assisting students in self reflection, and identifying areas for self improvement. Criteria for sharing relevant ideas, displaying a positive attitude, and treating team members fairly, as well as evaluating the quality of written contributions is included.
