Course Description:

This Canvas course, provided by Riverland Community College, is for an internship designed to give students hands-on automotive, advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), and autonomous vehicles (AV) experience. Through the internship curriculum, students will gain "on the job experience in human relations including customer relations, automotive repair and service, and proper tool and equipment usage." The course consists primarily of administrative documentation for the internship, class-specific information, and a list of auto service projects to be completed during the internship.

Course Contents:

Course materials include a Canvas .imscc file. The .imscc file includes folders and files from the Canvas course, including a syllabus. The syllabus contains a description of the internship program, internship goals and objectives, grading information, and a list of 19 projects to be completed during the internship.

Also included is a sheet to document each student's internship location, an 8-page agreement between the student, faculty, and internship site, and a 27-page packet with worksheets for the internship projects. Each worksheet includes a space for mentor approval and comment. Projects include tasks such as performing a voltage drop test, completing a pre-alignment inspection, and replacing a strut.
