The Partnership for Biotechnology and Genomics Education (PBGE) is dedicated to developing an educational program dealing with plant genomics and biotechnology that is targeted towards secondary level students. Their intent is to help cultivate an informed citizenry that understands the concepts and issues involved in the burgeoning field of genomics and biotechnology. Goals of the PBGE include the creation and distribution of educational software and on-line materials, development of associated hands-on activities, equipment loan programs, teacher training, and student internships. On their website visitors will find a fantastic series of educational links, a slide show of plant transformation, information on student and professional development, some curriculum and materials, and an excellent set of free educational software for both Mac and Windows machines.
