Medical Device Industry Education Consortium (MDIEC)
The Medical Device Industry Education Consortium (MDIEC), part of NSF's Advanced Technological Education program, was formed to build a learning and innovation network to develop and deliver industry-endorsed solutions that address critical industry-defined technical education and training needs. Responding to industry needs, the MDIEC colleges developed a set of introductory and advanced regulatory affairs courses. Established initially with a grant from the Department of Education, this project has used its ATE funding to "further MDIEC and develop curriculum in three critical training areas: quality systems, information management and clinical data management."
