This learning module is provided by Work-Ready Electronics and covers electronics careers, including job pathways. Work-Ready Electronics modules are intended to be used either independently or integrated with current electronics curricula in college programs. This module is divided into three sections: Course Materials, Learning Activities, and Research.
Contents:
The Course Materials section includes two PDF documents. One document is an overview of careers and education in the electronics industry. The other document is a Knowledge Probe that includes learning objectives and a short quiz.
The Learning Activities section includes two drill down reports: Building Your Career in Electronics, Part 1: Identifying Careers in Electronics and Building Your Career in Electronics, Part 2: Differentiating Among Engineer, Technologist, and Technician. These drill down report assignments include learning objectives, tasks and procedures, deliverables, and more. A performance assessment is also included and contains 17 multiple choice and short answer questions.
The Research section includes print and web references.
For orientation purposes the 'Careers and Education in the Electronics Industry' PDF is included as a separate attachment and offers a sample of the type of material included in this collection.
