Pneumatic Air Conservation
This brief interactive activity, by Electromechanical Digital Library and Wisconsin Technical College System faculty members Terry Bartelt and Stephen Schneider, introduces pneumatic air conservation. The lesson begins with an illustration comparing production of air force by electric and pneumatic systems. The lesson then moves on to discuss ways to reduce the cost of supplying pneumatic systems with electrical power, by reducing leakage and selecting the proper air pressure. This is an excellent and practical resource for reducing the monetary and environmental cost of running pneumatic air systems.
