Guitar Building Teaching Syllabus, Grading Rubric, and Consent Forms

These resources, from the STEM Guitar Project, include an example syllabus, a grading rubric, and consent forms that are related to the STEM Guitar Building Institute. The syllabus is intended to be an example for a STEM guitar build course. The syllabus includes sections on materials covered, online activities, and assignments. Links are provided for related videos. These videos cover the following topics: guitar body sculpting, wood repair, swirl dipping, neck assembly, and more. 

The 2-page grading rubric includes categories on stages of guitar building. These categories include the following: sanding, paint/finish, frets seated, fret ends smoothed, string nut installation, and many more.

The following forms are also included: Photo, Video, and Audio Release Form; Student Assent Form; Student Consent Form; Parent Consent Form; and Faculty Consent Form.
