This is the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) launch page on environmental education. "Environmental education is a multi-disciplinary approach to learning about environmental issues that enhances knowledge, builds critical thinking skills and helps students make informed and responsible decisions." This page provides links for K-12 students, as well as resources for educators and education professionals. Links for students feature homework resources, awards and contests, games and quizzes, and videos about the environment. Links to lesson plans, community service project ideas, and science fair project ideas are provided for teachers. Links to more information about grants, professional development opportunities, and educator awards are featured for educators and other education professionals. There are also links to more information about EPA programs that support healthy, productive learning environments, as well as children's health and the environment, and reducing risks at childcare facilities.
