This 24-page report, published by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, describes the design and construction of Axolo, an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV). This report was created by Epoxsea, a student group that participated in the 2021 MATE ROV competitions Explorer class. MATE ROV is a global underwater robotics competition for STEM students. The competition includes Explorer, Ranger, Navigator, and Scout classes.

In the report, an abstract introduces the project and group. The design rationale is then presented, which provides information on the design's evolution, a systems interconnection diagram, information on the vehicle core system, and mission specific features. Safety decisions are then considered. Testing and troubleshooting is also explored. The report then highlights project management decisions, challenges, areas for future improvement, and lessons learned. Finally, reflections, acknowledgements, references, and appendices are provided.
