This case study provides students with an opportunity to research implementing technology in warehousing and distribution. The case study uses the company Elgiganten to examine warehouse order picking issues. Elgiganten is a Swedish company that distributes over 4000 products to 247 stores in Europe. In this activity students act as the warehouse manager and tackle issues of order picking accuracy and efficiency. Company background information and instructor's application notes are also provided. 

This case study complements Tacoma Community College's Logistics curriculum. Selected curriculum is available through ATE Central.
