Providing Opportunities for Women in Energy Related (POWER) Careers Promotional Materials

This collection of promotional materials includes information about the Providing Opportunities for Women in Energy Related Careers (POWER Careers) project at the Energy Systems Technology & Education Center (ESTEC) at Idaho State University. POWER Careers seeks to recruit women into ESTEC AAS degree programs and provide women students with additional mentorship and job placement support. This collection consists of four types of promotional materials: brochures, fliers, billboards, and videos.

Two brochures are included. The PC Brochure 1 provides information about the four AAS degree programs offered at ESTEC: Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, and Nuclear Operations Technology. This information includes the hourly median wage and annual median wage for employees in each field. The PC Brochure 2 provides information about the skills that students learn in each of the four AAS degree programs listed above. In addition, this brochure explains that students can earn a second AAS in Cyber-Physical Security (CPS) "in only one semester after previously completing one of the programs above." Finally, this brochure provides information about support and mentorship opportunities available to POWER Careers students. 

Four fliers are included. These fliers include information about the following program: Electrical Engineering Technology, ESTEC, Instrumentation Engineering Technology, and Nuclear Operations Technology. 

Four promotional videos are also included and range from 00:30 to 7:51 minutes in length. These videos were produced to recruit nontraditional students and create awareness for nontraditional professions. The video that is focussed on industry is also intended to share the importance of diversity from the program's industry partner's perspective. 

For orientation purposes, the brochure ESTEC Flier 2017 is included as a separate attachment.
