Plan for Recruitment and Retention of Women in Engineering and Engineering Technology
This 16-page report outlines how Norwalk Community College (NCC) plans to fulfill its mission "[t]o increase the enrolment and retention of women in Engineering Science and Technology Studies programs." This report includes an explanation of the need for more women in the fields of engineering and technology; baseline data about the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of women in NCC's Engineering Sciences (ES) and Technology Studies (TS) degree programs; and an outline of the college's goals and objectives for 2019, 2020, and 2021. Next, the report outlines the activities that the college plans to implement to meet these goals. These activities are organized into three categories: Raising awareness, Recruitment, and Retention. Finally, the report provides a timeline for the implementation of these activities and a list of references.
